Many of us have large personal collections of books and feel guilty “hoarding” them. We want to share with others, but do not necessarily want to loose control of the books.
The Seattle Metaphysical Library developing an on-line database with the ability to add people’s personal books to our list, with an indicator of who those books belong to.
Members who so choose may add their collection to our database, and indicate which books they want publicly listed, and which ones they want to keep in a private directory, available to pre-screened SML members.
We can use the SML’s membership database to look at the Returns history of a potential borrower, who must be a member of the Library to borrow one of our books.
